Faith Formation

What We Offer


Welcome to Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish Faith Formation Program.  You will find something for any age.

STAY (St. Thomas Aquinas Youth)-  This open to post confirmation parishoners who are in grades 11 and 12.  This is an ongoing ministry. This year we have a group of teens going on Mission to Maine.  Please contact the office for further information.

Bosco's Bunch - Children ages 2-5 are welcome to attend this program in the parish hall and utilize this "nursery program" while mom and dad attend Mass.  This is available during the 10:30 Mass.

Explorers of the Word - Also known as children's liturgy of the word.  Before entering into the liturgy of the word, children are invited to go downstairs and break open the word, sing songs, and participate in activities.  The children return for the liturgy of the Eucharist. 

Whole Community  - We meet on Friday Evening or you may choose Saturday morning once a month.  We begin with sharing a meal together and then have teachings for the children and adults.

Edge - This program is for grades 6 through 8.  Edge meets twice a month on Tuesdays.  6th grade meets from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and 7th and 8th meet from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Life Teen - Life Teen is our high school youth ministry (also used as our Confirmation prep program).  We meet on Sunday nights following the 6:00 pm Mass.

Total Youth Catechesis - For Grades 9 and 10.  We meet twice a month on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm.  (also used as our Confirmation prep program).

Sharers of the Faith - Adult Faith Formation.  Programs run at different times during the year.  This year we will kick off our Adult Faith Formation with a new series called EPIC.  We will meet on Monday evenings.  Please call the office for further information.

Summer Seekers - This is our Vaction Bible School kids.  August 1 through 5, 2016 from 9-12 noon.  Please call the parish office to register.  

RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - If you are not a Catholic (or have received baptism in the Catholic church), and would like to learn more about Catholicism and becoming a Catholic in need of completing our Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist or Confirmation). This program is for you. There a no commitments or obligations required, only questions answered and informatoin shared.  RCIA is a gradule process that takes place within the community of the faithful.  The lentgh of time of the process varies according to individual need, experience, readiness and commitment.  If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Dave DeJulio our RCIA Coordinator at 289-6748 for further information.

Adult Confirmation - If you or someone you know has not made their confirmation and has some Faith Formation background, we would love to have you in our Adult Confirmation program.
